soul·less is my senior thesis film completed for my B.A. in Animation. It is a 3D animated short film that follows the story of two robots being hunted for a battery vital to their survival. So far, soul·less has been selected to the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival, Big Teeth Small Shorts Film Festival, and Peekskill Film Festival, where it also won Best Student Animation.
To create the film, I had to expand my skillset, as I was responsible for all storyboarding, character design, character modeling, rigging, texturing, animation, lighting, and rendering. I 3D modeled, rigged, and animated in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, and did all the environment building, lighting, and rendering in Unreal Engine 5. Environment assets are from Quixel.
The film is not yet available online, as some film festivals prohibit submissions from previously released films.
